Bayern Munich are in advanced negotiations to sign Manchester City defender Kyle Walker, according to Sky in Germany.
The 33-year-old has one year left on his deal at the Etihad.
Bayern head coach and former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has played a significant role in persuading Walker to join the Bundesliga champions, according to reports from Sky in Germany. Despite being a regular starter for Manchester City, Walker was surprisingly left on the bench by City head coach Pep Guardiola in the Champions League final, with Manuel Akanji being preferred in the defensive line.
Guardiola stated in April that Walker was unfit to participate in City's style of play, resulting in John Stones transitioning from defense to midfield during a period when the English player was benched from the team.
"He is incapable," Guardiola expressed about Walker. "He will consistently possess speed; even at 60 years old, Kyle would be the fastest player in this space. In order to play in the midfield, one must possess refined movements - and he lacks some of those essential qualities."
Walker, who arrived at City from Tottenham in 2017 for a record-breaking fee of £50m, has proven to be an invaluable asset to the team. Over the course of his six years in Manchester, he has achieved remarkable success, securing five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, and even lifting the prestigious Champions League trophy.

Bernardo Silva has long been linked with a move away from Man City
Man City will not stand in Bernardo Silva's way if he wishes to leave the club.
Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have both expressed their interest in signing the Portugal international, indicating their long-standing admiration for the player. However, in order to initiate a transfer, the player and his representatives must formally request the move and present a compelling offer to the treble-winners for their consideration.
Silva's potential departure from City was anticipated last summer, but ultimately did not come to fruition.
Meanwhile, City are continuing talks over the signing of midfielder Matteo Kovacic from Chelsea.
Barca remain keen on Gundogan

Ilkay Gundogan kisses the Champions League trophy
Barcelona are looking to sign at least one new midfielder this summer and remain keen on City captain Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer.
The negotiations between Gundogan and City for a new contract are currently underway as his current contract is due to end soon.
Nevertheless, there has been a disagreement regarding the duration of the proposed deal for the 32-year-old. The offer includes a one-year contract with the possibility of extending it for an additional 12 months, which has caused some contention.
Barca are thought to be among the clubs willing to offer him a longer deal, while Arsenal are also interested in Gundogan.
