Once the players have rescued the characters from the fire-engulfed building, they have the opportunity to embark on a quest for Benryn and locate his wife's dowry. It is worth mentioning that the dowry can also be discovered without the quest, as players may have unintentionally come across it and sold it before rescuing him.
After encountering Miri and witnessing her circumstances, players may feel compelled to return the dowry to Benryn. However, this act is driven solely by the character's inherent goodness. The ring holds a value of 115 gold, making it a significant portion of wealth. Characters aligned with good intentions might choose to give it away for the sake of role-playing, while others may opt to benefit from the added monetary value.
Alternatively, players have the option to acquire and sell the Gilded Chest containing the dowry. Despite the absence of any moral advantage, players can confidently choose to retain the chest and sell it without experiencing any guilt.
Baldur's Gate 3 is currently in Early Access for PC, with the full release expected on August 3rd, 2023. The game will also be released for PlayStation 5 on September 6th, 2023. Furthermore, a version for Xbox Series X/S is currently being developed.
