Avril Lavigne and Tyga have reconciled their relationship just weeks after their initial breakup, according to an exclusive confirmation from a source. The rapper, aged 33, and the "It's Complicated" singer, aged 38, have decided to give their love another chance. However, they are currently taking it slow and keeping their relationship casual.
Lavigne and Tyga were first romantically linked in February after being seen having dinner together. It was during this time that Lavigne was engaged to Mod Sun. In later confirmation, it was revealed that Lavigne called off her engagement after being distant from her fiancé for several months, according to a source.
After her breakup, Lavigne and Tyga continued to spend time together. In March, another source revealed that the two had started dating after years of being friends.
"At the time, an insider revealed that the romance between Avril and Tyga was completely unexpected, as they had always been strictly platonic. However, they enjoyed spending time together and had great chemistry. Another source gushed about their organic transition from friendship to romance. Nevertheless, it was confirmed last month that they had split, but they remained on good terms. In June, a third insider disclosed that they still had a mutual respect for each other and believed they were better off as friends."
Weeks later, on Tuesday, July 4, they attended a 4th of July party at Nobu in Malibu. Walking into the event together, both of them were dressed in matching white outfits.
Lavigne has been married twice before. Her first marriage was with Deryck Whibley from Sum 41 in July 2006, but they separated after three years. Afterwards, the singer moved on to Chad Kroeger, the frontman of Nickelback, and they tied the knot in 2013. Following Lavigne's divorce from Kroeger in 2015, she entered a relationship with Mod Sun, aged 36, and they also collaborated on her album "Love Sux" released in 2022. However, after two years of dating, Mod Sun proposed during a trip to Paris, but their relationship ended less than a year later.
The rapper known as "Rack City" was previously in a relationship with Blac Chyna, with whom he has a 10-year-old son named King Cairo. Following their breakup in 2014, he began dating Kylie Jenner, who happens to be the half-sister of Chyna's ex, Rob Kardashian. Jenner, 25, and Tyga had an on-again, off-again relationship for three years before calling it quits in 2017. Reported by Travis Cronin.
