Us is unraveling the deliberate airing of out-of-order footage in Hulu's The Kardashians by providing a comprehensive breakdown of the true timeline of events.
Kim Kardashian documented her first trip from Los Angeles to New York City earlier this year during a new episode of the popular reality series. The episode began streaming on Thursday, November 16.
In a confessional, Kim expressed her excitement about her packed schedule in New York. She mentioned having a Met fitting and working with the Schiaparelli team. She also described an exquisite all-pearl dress that she found to be absolutely stunning.
Kim, who is 43 years old, mentioned that she would be traveling frequently for the next four months because of her work obligations. References to her Met Gala fitting suggested that the scenes were filmed prior to May. However, the remainder of Kim's time in New York City implied that the trip took place later in the month, after the May 1 event.
During the episode, viewers witnessed Kim's visit to the Today show, where she discussed the Skims shop located in the Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Center. The shop was a temporary pop-up that debuted on May 16. Kim's interview was also broadcasted on the same day.
Later during the same journey, Kim documented her preparations for the 74th Annual Parsons Benefit, which occurred on May 24 at Cipriani Wall Street. Subsequently, she departed early to rendezvous with Kourtney Kardashian in order to provide backing to Travis Barker during the Blink-182 performance at Barclays Center.

Kim commented on the upcoming season 3 premiere of The Kardashians, noting that it was only a few hours away. On May 25, the series premiered on Hulu, coinciding with the first day of Kim filming season 12 of American Horror Story in New York.
Adding to the confusion, the trailer for next week's episode showed Kim preparing for a major fashion event. In the sneak peek, Kourtney, 44, also made a surprising announcement at a Blink-182 concert, revealing that she and Travis were expecting their first child together. However, keen fans would recognize that Kourtney actually made this announcement in June, once again creating discrepancies in the timeline of events shown onscreen.
Before the debut of season 4, the Kardashians would showcase moments from their famous family's life in a chronological manner, with one exception. In the second season, a title card was included to acknowledge the arrival of Khloé Kardashian's son, despite the fact that the rest of the season did not mention her plans to expand her family with Tristan Thompson.
"After the season premiere, a title card stated that the remaining episodes of Season 2 were filmed six months prior," read the caption. Khloé, who became a mother in 2017 with the birth of her daughter True, revealed at the start of season 2 that she had welcomed her son Tatum through a surrogate.

Following the on-screen paternity drama between Tristan and Maralee Nichols, Khloé made the decision not to comment on her plans regarding expanding her family. However, it was later disclosed that both Khloé and Tristan's surrogate were simultaneously pregnant when Maralee was expecting their son, Theo.
"Since December, a dark cloud has hung over me, bringing feelings of depression and sadness every single day. Now that my son is here, I can finally move forward and embrace joy," Kardashian divulged in the September 2022 episode. "It's like closing that chapter of trauma and leaving it behind. I can now embark on the healing process, enjoying life with my two children and figuring things out. Today marks day one—an opportunity for positivity, happiness, and beauty."
The popular Hulu series has not addressed any further inconsistencies in its storyline.
