Allison Holker will always cherish the memory of her late husband, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, and his lasting impact on the dance community.
In a heartfelt moment during the first look at the So You Think You Can Dance season 18 auditions, Holker, 36, spoke emotionally about Boss, calling him an icon and a legend. She expressed that he was truly the best at what he did and also had a special ability to bring out the best in everyone around him.
"He's still doing that for me, my children, and everyone here. We honor him by giving that life back because that's what he would want too.
Holker and Boss first met during SYTYCD season 7 when they were chosen as “All-Star” mentors. They got married in 2013, nine years before Boss passed away. In December 2022, it was confirmed that Boss died by suicide at the age of 40. He is survived by Holker and their three children: Weslie, 15, Maddox, 7, and Zaia, 3. (Weslie is Holker's daughter from a previous relationship, whom Boss had adopted.)"
Holker found solace in returning to her roots on So You Think You Can Dance as she navigated her grief. She will be joining the judge's panel for season 18, which premieres on Monday, March 4. Alongside Maksim Chmerkovskiy and JoJo Siwa, Holker will be on the lookout for America's Top Dancer. (During the audition round, fellow former All-Star Comfort Fedoke will also be on the panel.)

Her involvement in this new project is well-deserved, bringing essential elements from So You Think You Can Dance to this new format.
Chmerkovskiy, a former Dancing With the Stars champion, also observed how Holker paid tribute to Boss’ legacy while filming.
