Allegations Surface: Savannah Chrisley Alleges Retaliation against Todd Chrisley in Prison Amidst Her Advocacy Efforts

Savannah Chrisley reveals the repercussions her public advocacy has had on her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, as they face retaliation and endure challenging living conditions in prison

Speaking out about the alleged living conditions in prison has taken a toll on Savannah Chrisley's parents, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley. According to Savannah, it has been particularly difficult for her father, as there has been retaliation that has caused them to worry about his well-being.

Savannah asserted that her father is being targeted by guards, stating, "They are currently attempting to transfer him from his current facility due to my recent posts [where I mentioned the prison as a dangerous place]. The challenging aspect is that as soon as you speak up, there are consequences." Additionally, she claimed that Todd, 54, has been denied communication with his legal representatives.

"This is significant because it entails an unrecorded conversation where you can openly discuss the challenges you are facing with your lawyer, and they are preventing him from doing so," she added. "He and I have had a conversation, and he explicitly stated, 'If I have to endure discomfort in order to potentially instigate and enforce change, then I am willing to do it.'"

According to Savannah, Julie (50) is facing various challenges. Savannah mentioned, "Her living conditions are extremely poor, and certain male guards in the prison belittle and degrade the women, making them feel worthless."

Todd and Julie were initially charged with tax evasion, bank and wire fraud, and conspiracy in 2019. After being convicted in June 2022, Todd, who is a real estate tycoon, was sentenced to 12 years in jail, while Julie received a seven-year sentence. The couple continues to assert their innocence.

"I believe this is why I find myself in a better position regarding the situation. It is evident that this is not my final destination," Todd expressed in a prerecorded episode of the "Chrisley Confessions" podcast in January. The podcast was released after his arrival in prison. "Although this may be my temporary future, I maintain faith that the judicial system will rectify this. Additionally, I am confident that the appellate court will recognize the true nature of the circumstances."

During that same month, Todd voluntarily surrendered himself at the FPC Pensacola, a minimum-security facility in Florida, while Julie reported to the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Savannah wasted no time in expressing her criticism of the justice system, denouncing the lengthy prison sentence. In her podcast "Unlocked" in November 2022, she questioned why society repeatedly lets people down and forces families apart. She pointed out the injustice of the situation, highlighting the leniency given to rapists, murderers, and traffickers.

Furthermore, she suggested that their unfair treatment stems from their status in the public eye, with someone intending to make a point. This reality saddened Savannah, but instead of giving up, her initial numbness transformed into anger, fueling her determination to keep fighting. She declared that giving up was simply not an option for her.

Her brother Chase Chrisley has also talked about the painful challenges their parents are currently experiencing in prison.

"Savannah visits my dad, I visit my mom. We take turns, and usually Savannah takes the kids [Grayson and Chloe] with her," he shared on the "Chasin' Birdies" podcast in May. "But it's tough. Our family loves intensely, so when you care for someone as deeply as we care for each other, it's definitely very hard to witness your loved ones in a situation like that."

Chase stated that he and Savannah always make sure to visit Todd and Julie every weekend without fail. He further expressed his disappointment with the conditions in the prisons where they are serving their sentences. According to him, their living conditions are extremely poor. Chase clarified that despite the perception that his father is in a luxurious facility, this is far from the truth. He mentioned that there is even black mold where his dad is located, and his mom's situation is even worse as she does not have air conditioning. The prisons are referred to as camps, which Chase believes is a relatively better situation compared to being confined behind solid walls.
