Alinity's Twitch Ban Lifted Ahead of Schedule

Twitch lifts the ban on popular streamer Alinity, also known as Natalia Mogollon, ahead of schedule, allowing her to resume streaming on the platform

The lifting of the ban on renowned Twitch streamer Alinity has come as a surprise to many. Alinity, who is one of the top female streamers on the platform, had previously been banned for violating Twitch's community guidelines. However, her argument that the ban was unjust seems to have persuaded Twitch to lift the ban earlier than anticipated. It is also possible that Alinity's suggestion that she may explore other streaming platforms played a role in the decision. Twitch is a popular platform among gamers and streamers worldwide, but its strict ban policies have often been a topic of discussion. This was highlighted recently when Meowko was banned for a violated profile bio that had remained unchanged for three years.

Following a three-day ban for allegedly "twerking" during her stream, Alinity received support from her followers and Twitch streamer Mizkif, who questioned the site's criteria for permissible content. Alinity posted a dance clip in response, highlighting the presence of more severe violations on the platform and expressing her willingness to explore other streaming platforms as a potential alternative. However, Twitch lifted the ban after a mere one day, two hours, and thirty-six seconds, bringing relief to Alinity and her followers but not deterring debates regarding this issue. Mizkif shared multiple Twitch clips featuring female suggestive dances or displaying a significant amount of skin, leading him to question why such content was allowed while Alinity's actions were considered impermissible. Viewer discretion is advised for the video found here.

Alinity caught the attention of Rumble, a streaming platform that recently made news by recruiting several renowned content creators, after expressing her desire to switch to a different streaming platform. Rumble reached out to Alinity via Twitter, inviting her to join their platform alongside Kai, Speed, Mizkif, JiDion, and Akademiks. However, Alinity requested information on potential compensation, but Rumble did not respond. Although it is unclear whether Alinity will switch to another platform, Twitch must focus on revising its ban policies and implementing essential changes.
