A voice actor from Star Wars: The Clone Wars has pitched their idea for a spin-off show centered on Ahsoka Tano, though it would require a massive change to Order 66 in Star Wars canon. As is known by the timeline of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, much of the show takes place in the prequel era before Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. This offered a lot of stories to be told in The Clone Wars' chronological order, as well as spin-offs taking place both before and after.
In a recent report by Popverse (via Star Wars News Net), a voice actor from The Clone Wars - James Arnold Taylor - outlined his own idea for one such spin-off. Interestingly, this spin-off would retcon Star Wars' Jedi survivors of Order 66 via the inclusion of Plo Koon, one of the many Jedi voiced by Taylor.
"I would be thrilled if they brought him back, but I would love to see an extension of the last series [Tales of the Jedi] with Ahsoka and Plo. A whole mini-series focusing on Ahsoka's childhood and her Jedi training under him would be amazing. Ashley is a talented actress who could voice little Ahsoka, midsize Ahsoka, and full-grown Ahsoka. Their arc deserves to be explored further, and I am eager to know more about what happened there."
While a spin-off showcasing Ahsoka's training under Plo Koon would not disrupt Star Wars canon, Taylor's suggestion of an adult Ahsoka interacting with Plo introduces complications. Plo Koon's demise in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith indicates that any posthumous appearances by the Jedi would risk diminishing the impact of his tragic death.

Moreover, Plo Koon is considered one of the Jedi who George Lucas believed could not have survived Order 66. Dave Filoni, known for his work on The Clone Wars and as Lucas' protégé, holds Plo Koon in high esteem as his favorite Star Wars character. Despite Filoni expressing interest in Plo Koon's return, Lucas was strongly against the idea.
Filoni has not shared the specific reasons behind Lucas' decision to keep Plo Koon as a victim of Order 66, but he remains dedicated to honoring Lucas' vision for the Star Wars universe. This suggests that the chances of Plo Koon being brought back to life after Order 66 are slim, which may disappoint both James Arnold Taylor and Star Wars fans. However, there is a wealth of unexplored potential in Plo's character leading up to and during the events of The Clone Wars, adding layers to the emotional impact of his tragic death during Order 66.

James Arnold Taylor's proposal for an Ahsoka Tano spin-off raises intriguing possibilities while also highlighting the complexities of Star Wars canon. While a series showcasing Ahsoka's training under Plo Koon would enrich her backstory, Taylor's idea of including an adult Ahsoka interacting with Plo poses challenges. George Lucas' firm stance against Plo Koon surviving Order 66 underscores the weight of the character's demise.
However, Taylor's proposal also brings to light the rich potential of Plo Koon's character prior to and during the Clone Wars. Exploring his story further would deepen the emotional impact of his tragic death. Filoni's dedication to honoring Lucas' vision suggests that resurrecting Plo Koon is unlikely, but it leaves open the possibility of delving into his character's past, adding nuance and depth to his sacrifice.
