The narrative will continue the story of Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren, drawing from the renowned Star Wars Rebels saga. Noteworthy characters from the animated Rebels series, such as Sabine, Hera Syndulla, and Grand Admiral Thrawn, will be making their live-action debuts.

Although Ahsoka made appearances in The Mandalorian season 2 and briefly in The Book of Boba Fett, the exact timeline of these shows remains uncertain. It is known that The Mandalorian transpired five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, which occurred in 4 ABY.
