Fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of Disney Plus' Ahsoka and speculating about what the future holds for Ahsoka and her allies. One ally in particular, Ezra Bridger, has been the subject of much discussion. Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren in the Star Wars Rebels series, has hinted that Ezra's role in the show may be revealed. Sabine is a former Empire Mandalorian with a talent for weaponry and a love for graffiti art. She has connections to several characters in the Star Wars universe, including Ahsoka Tano, Bo-Katan Kryze, Paz Vizsla, and Ezra Bridger. While all of Sabine's connections may come into play, fans are particularly interested in Ezra's storyline. Although details about his role in the show are scarce, Liu Bordizzo recently provided a glimpse into what fans can expect.
Liu Bordizzo, who plays a role in Ahsoka, shared her thoughts on the character's journey since the end of Star Wars Rebels on Entertainment Weekly's Dagobah Dispatch podcast. Despite being regarded as a hero for her involvement in the liberation of Lothal, Bordizzo's character remains focused on her mission to help her friend and does not see herself as a hero. With Ahsoka's show centered around her, Sabine's storyline will likely revolve around Ezra.
It is speculated that Ahsoka's journey in the upcoming show Ahsoka will involve finding Ezra, who sacrificed himself to defeat Grand Admiral Thrawn in the Star Wars Rebels series finale. With Lars Mikkelsen confirmed to appear as Thrawn, it is likely that Ezra's plan did not succeed. It is also possible that Ezra is still with Thrawn, and Ahsoka and Sabine will have to find both characters. The state in which they will find them remains unknown, leaving many questions unanswered. However, one thing is certain: Ezra Bridger's story is far from over.
Ahsoka premieres on Disney Plus in August 2023.
