Glen Powell and Adria Arjona had to endure painful rashes while filming their Hit Man sex scenes. Arjona, 32, shared on the "Just for Variety" podcast that on the day they filmed all their sex scenes, they both had a crazy rash. They were in so much pain that they couldn't help but laugh, joking about how much makeup they had to use to cover it up. Arjona mentioned, "How much makeup do you have on your ass right now?" and they both found humor in the situation despite the discomfort.

Arjona stars as Madison in Hit Man, which premieres in select theaters later this week. The movie is about a professor named Gary (Powell) who is working undercover with the New Orleans police department. In the middle of Gary's secretive work, he falls for suspect Madison after she hires him to murder her abusive husband.

She continued, "We had fun because it was so funny. We were both in pain with makeup all over this rash and it was funny."

In one of Gary and Madison's romantic scenes, they enjoy a special moment together in a bathtub.

Arjona shared that they spent an hour soaking in the tub. After getting out, she found that she couldn't bend her knees because her skin had dried out. A crew member had added Dawn dish soap to the water, making the rash symptoms worse. Arjona pointed out that the soap stripped away all the natural oils from her skin, comparing it to what is used to clean baby ducks during an oil spill.

Powell, who is 35 years old, worked together with the director of the film, Richard Linklater, to write Hit Man. They used the romantic scenes in the movie to depict Gary's growth as a character.

In a previous interview with IndieWire in January, Powell shared his thoughts on the intimate scenes in the film. He mentioned that these scenes were not just included to show that the characters are now a couple. Instead, they were used to explore Gary's character development and how he is able to let go of his insecurities by taking on a different persona. This transformation allows him to excel in ways he never imagined.

He expressed his thoughts on the process of creating the sex scenes in the movie, mentioning that they took an impressionistic approach, treating them like pieces of art. The goal was to capture a fantasy for both characters, ensuring that the female perspective was represented. The team collaborated to showcase unique and exciting images, avoiding the typical, dull portrayal of sex scenes.

During the sex scenes, Powell portrayed a respectful and gentlemanly attitude towards Arjona.

"Glen is an amazing costar to work with. He is kind, respectful, and always interested in collaborating. He doesn't enjoy success alone; he values teamwork. As an actor, especially in romantic scenes, it's important to have a partner who is supportive and wants to succeed together. Glen embodies that spirit."

"Hit Man will premiere in select theaters on Friday, May 24, and will be streaming on Netflix starting Friday, June 7."
