Sydney Sweeney Spills the Tea on Romance Rumors with Glen Powell: Prepare to Be Amazed!

Sydney Sweeney recently spoke out about the rumors surrounding her relationship with Glen Powell.

"Neither Glen nor I pay much attention to them. We genuinely enjoy each other's company and have a great deal of respect for one another. We both have strong work ethics," said Sweeney, 25, in an interview with Variety on August 9th. "Our conversations often revolve around humor and we find it quite amusing."

Sweeney and Powell made headlines earlier this year when fans began questioning whether their onscreen romance in their upcoming film, Anyone But You, had translated into a real-life affair.

"Speculation about our chemistry is inevitable with a rom-com," Sweeney, who is engaged to Jonathan Davino, explained to the outlet.

Powell, on his part, caused surprise in April when his then-girlfriend, Gigi Paris, decided to unfollow him on Instagram shortly after pictures of the actor and Sweeney started circulating. Later that month, it was revealed that the former couple had ended their three-year relationship. During an interview with C Magazine in November 2021, she shared, "There was a period where my parents tried to shield me from the pain and financial stress without explaining everything to me, which made me feel angry. As a result, I acted out, but not in the traditional sense. Despite being a straight A student in all AP classes and the valedictorian, I never attended high school parties and have never experimented with drugs. Instead, I sought love through relationships with boys, sometimes leading to unfortunate and even dangerous situations."

Sweeney stated that improving her relationship with herself was beneficial, emphasizing that finding self-love before seeking the love of others is essential for true happiness and well-being. She expressed a desire to revisit this phase in her life. In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan in February 2022, the Euphoria star disclosed that she avoids dating individuals in her industry, such as actors or musicians, in order to maintain a sense of normalcy and ease in her life. She credits her support system for allowing her to shine without feeling the need to dim her light.

Sweeney concluded: “I look for a best friend. I need to be able to be with someone who I can literally hang out with 24/7 and never get sick of and we laugh every single day.”
