Aaron Taylor-Johnson and his wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson, were seen holding hands after attending a red carpet date night together.
The couple attended the world premiere of the Amy Winehouse biopic at London’s Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Monday, April 8. Aaron, 33, was dressed in a black leather jacket and pants, while Sam, 57, opted for a black midi dress. They were spotted holding hands at the afterparty as well.
Sam, known for directing Fifty Shades of Grey, took on the film Back to Black after other filmmakers tried to tell Amy Winehouse's story. The movie follows the journey of the late jazz singer from performing in North London to becoming a Grammy-winning artist with hits like "Rehab." The title of the film is a tribute to her acclaimed album of the same name.
Aaron, who married Sam in 2012, recently defended their age gap following a public outing on Monday. The couple, who met on the set of the 2009 John Lennon biopic directed by Sam, are more than 20 years apart in age.
Aaron shared in his cover story for Rolling Stone UK in April/May 2024 that while others were experiencing things in their twenties, he was already doing them at the young age of 13.

The couple has two children together: Wylda and Romy Hero, who were born in 2010 and 2012. Aaron is also a stepdad to Sam’s children from her previous marriage, Jay Joplin, including Angelica born in June 1997, and Jessie born in September 2005.

He mentioned that some may believe he's biased, but he truly believes that once people watch Back to Black, they will recognize what a great filmmaker she is.

Sam has also shown her support for her husband's talent. When rumors started spreading about Aaron being offered the role as the next James Bond, Sam expressed confidence in him, saying he would do a "great" job. She even hinted that she might be interested in directing the film herself.
"You mean I could direct a Bond film? The first woman director," she joked, before adding, "Keep speculating. He would be fantastic."
