A Wild Comeback: Netflix's Insane Show Returns

Celebrity survival takes a thrilling turn in Zombieverse Season 2! Brace yourself for a zombie-infested Seoul as our favorite stars fight for their lives Get ready for more heart-pounding action on Netflix!

Netflix struck gold with its Korean reality series, as the popular hit Zombieverse has been confirmed for a second season. In a lineup that includes steamy dating series like Single’s Inferno and Love Like a K-drama, as well as mind-bending shows like The Devil’s Plan, Netflix found success with the trending fascination with zombies and the apocalypse by developing Zombiverse.

A mission was given to a group of Korean and non-Korean celebrities: survive a zombie-infested Seoul. The rules were straightforward - get bitten by a zombie and be eliminated. Along the way, they could receive help in the form of care packages or escape routes.

Zombieverse, which featured Sweet Home’s Lee Si-young, generated a lot of excitement among fans. Lee Si-young, who had previously starred in a zombie apocalypse K-drama, was a natural choice for the series. Additionally, fans were impressed by Single’s Inferno’s Dex, a reserve UDT soldier. The potential of the series was recognized by Netflix, which decided to greenlight it for a new season.

Zombieverse Season 2 returns to Netflix

On November 30, 2023, Netflix announced through social media that Zombieverse will return to fans with Season 2.

As per the official statement released on X (Twitter), "Are we all just living in a zombieverse? Brace yourself for upgraded quests, enhanced zombies, a new cast, and an expanded universe."

There are few details available about the new season at this time. Given the variety of cast members in the first season, it is probable that the new season will feature some familiar faces. One fan has expressed their hope for Dex to make a return appearance.

Some are unconvinced about the series making a return. "LOL, the concept of this was bad. it was a little bearable because some cast had good comedic dynamics but that barely carried the show. There are more deserving variety shows to be renewed for another season like NEW WORLD & BUSTED!" remarked another individual.

The announcement comes at an opportune moment as K-drama enthusiasts are currently engrossed in Season 2 of Sweet Home. Netflix's popular monster apocalypse series follows everyday humans as they confront a new world order where monsters are fueled by desires. The burning question remains: Who will survive?
