Rebel Moon: Zack Snyder's Epic Space Odyssey Takes Off

As the release date for Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon draws nearer in December 2023, Netflix has been making further announcements on the production to whet the appetite of fans before the official marketing campaign kicks off. Dolby Cinema has also announced that Part 1 will have a theatrical release in addition to its Netflix debut. Director Zack Snyder has a history of releasing rated R director's cuts, so it remains to be seen if the theatrical release will be PG-13 while a rated R director's cut will be available on Netflix. Insider MyTimeToShineHello reports that spinoff projects are already in development, including a video game adaptation with a "ridiculous scale," possibly marking a first for Netflix in the triple-A gaming market.

Although the numbers were never released by Warner Bros., Zack Snyder's Justice League was the only film to crash HBO Max's servers upon release. With the first official trailer for Rebel Moon on the horizon, the combination of Star Wars and Samurai-inspired elements is sure to leave fans on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating its release.
