Netflix has announced additional information about their efforts to clamp down on password sharing within the US, which officially began today. The popular streaming service had previously experimented with similar measures in other countries like Canada, Spain, and New Zealand.

According to a report by Deadline, Netflix has now outlined their approach to the password sharing crackdown, which will only affect individuals who are not part of the same household. In an email sent to subscribers, Netflix explained that users can still share their account with others outside of their household by transferring a profile to a new account or by purchasing up to two additional profiles for a monthly fee of $7.99.
