Netflix has brought Haro Aso's manga series, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, to life in a live-action film adaptation. The cast of the Zom 100 live-action film is composed of highly skilled actors, some of whom are already recognizable. Aso's manga was initially published and serialized in the magazine Monthly Sunday Gene-X in 2018 and quickly gained popularity due to its unique take on the zombie genre, humorous elements, and relatable characters. Spanning across 14 volumes, Zom 100 then received an anime adaptation that creatively deviated from The Walking Dead's art style, presenting its own distinctive world overrun by zombies.
Following the successful international release of the anime on Crunchyroll, Netflix wasted no time and, nearly a month later, introduced a live-action film version of Aso's manga. The story revolves around Akira Tendo, an optimistic and hardworking individual who embarks on a new career at the esteemed video production company, Master Shot. However, he soon realizes that he has taken on more than he can handle. To make matters worse, a zombie outbreak engulfs the city. Nevertheless, Tendo remains unfazed and decides to create a bucket list to serve as a reminder of his existence. The Zom 100 live-action cast comprises a group of highly talented individuals who have achieved widespread fame in Japan and beyond.
