Popular Twitch streamer Félix "xQc" Lengyel has recently revealed his co-ownership of the highly-regarded NoPixel RP server for Grand Theft Auto Online, surprising many of his millions of followers. NoPixel has become known for its strict rules that have helped to create an immersive role-playing experience for its players, despite the unconventional nature of the game. However, xQc's involvement in the server has not been without controversy, as he has a history of disregarding the rules, leading to a series of bans from NoPixel.
xQc surprised his audience during a May 30 stream by revealing that he is a co-owner of the Grand Theft Auto Online NoPixel RP server. He shared the details in a sincere manner, explaining how ownership has evolved within the NoPixel community. Initially, Koil had complete control of NoPixel with 100% ownership. However, xQc and Buddha later became involved, resulting in a redistribution of shares. Presently, Koil has retained 50% ownership while xQc and Buddha each hold a 25% stake.
xQc made it clear that his new role as a co-owner of the server would not involve him in any administrative decisions, including bans, unbans, or rule enforcement. While the impact of his new position on the server remains to be seen, it is worth noting that No Pixel has faced a number of controversies in recent months. These include a lawsuit filed by former developer Danny Tracey (also known as DW), and the departure of prominent role-playing streamer Penta, who accused the server administrators of neglecting instances of abuse and failing to take action.
Grand Theft Auto Online is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
