What Is A Mushroom Cloud

In Among Us, Mushroom clouds are a unique feature found only in The Fungle map. While some players enjoy using the new zipline, others are captivated by the Jungle, an intriguing area filled with oversized plants, fungi, and minerals. Despite the abundance of exciting sights, many may have overlooked the small green mushrooms scattered across the Jungle floor. However, when these mushrooms are activated, something impossible to miss occurs.

Once triggered, the mushroom opens up and releases a cloud of purple spores into the air, significantly reducing visibility for everyone in the vicinity. Within the mushroom cloud, players can only see their own character, while the rest of the crew temporarily become invisible.

How To Trigger The Mushroom Cloud

To begin, players should locate The Jungle on The Fungle map and search for the green mushrooms scattered across the ground. A total of eight green mushrooms are available, strategically placed near the Laboratory, under The Dorm, around the Greenhouse, and near the Reactor. By stepping on or running across these mushrooms, players can trigger a mushroom cloud effect that reduces visibility.

Although this effect only lasts for five seconds, it has the potential to completely change the outcome of the game by providing impostors with the opportunity to kill or vent without being detected. After the five-second duration, the cloud and the mushroom will disappear. However, the mushroom will reappear approximately ten seconds later, ready to be activated once again.

When Should You Use Mushroom Clouds

Some individuals may find it amusing to intentionally step on these mushrooms whenever they get the opportunity. Despite the enjoyable sensation and the potential addiction to the satisfying popping sound, participants are strongly recommended to utilize the mushrooms exclusively when it aligns with their gaming strategy.
