All of Us Are Dead, a series that follows a group of high schoolers trying to survive a zombie outbreak, is no exception to this trend. The same art team that worked on the recently released Zombieverse also worked on this show. This has led fans to wonder if there will be a second season of All of Us Are Dead. Here's what we know so far.

Yes – Netflix has officially renewed All of Us Are Dead for Season 2.

Is there an All of Us Are Dead Season 2 release schedule?

Hyosan High School students are set to return once again, according to the streamer's confirmation in June. Brace yourselves for an intensified battle against Gen Z zombies because All of Us Are Dead is making a comeback for Season 2.

There is currently no release schedule for Season 2 of All of Us Are Dead as of October 2023, but we can make an educated guess.

In contrast to other major Hollywood productions, South Korean content remains unaffected by the ongoing strikes by writers and actors guilds.

According to a Teen Vogue interview with On-jo star Park Ji-hu in March 2023, the filming for Season 2 has not yet begun. At the moment, it is predicted that new episodes may be released in 2024.

All of Us Are Dead Season 2 cast: Who might be in it?

While a fair few characters fell victim to the zombie outbreak in Season 1, there are a number of cast members we can expect to return in the second chapter, including:

Im Jae-hyuk as Dae-su

Park Solomon as Su-hyeok

Ha Seung-ri as Ha-ri

Bo-yoon as Hyo-ryung

In an announcement video confirming the show's return, the main talking point was the inclusion of Yoon Chan-young, who plays the role of Cheong-san in All of Us Are Dead.

There are indications that despite his apparent demise in Season 1, he may return. It remains uncertain whether he managed to survive the fall and evade capture or if he will be featured in flashbacks. We will diligently inform you of any news about the actors involved.

All of Us Are Dead Season 2 plot: What could it be about?

While no official plot details have been released at the time of writing, what we do know is there’ll be plenty more zombies. 

Season 1 concluded with the repercussions of the devastating bombing in Hyosan. Cheong-san and Gwi-nam (presumably) perished in the fiery chaos, while the remaining students managed to reach the quarantine camp.

Meanwhile, Nam-ra survived the explosion but now exists as a hambie - a hybrid creature possessing both zombie and human qualities. Despite this transformation, she retains her normal intellect while gaining heightened strength, visual acuity, and agility.

Knowing the military would likely kill her, she says goodbye to her pals after they sneak to the school building and she heads off into the abandoned city. 

Director Lee Jae-kyoo previously stated to The Korea Herald that Season 2 of the show will introduce new directions, settings, and scenes designed to expand the storyline. One of these additions will be the introduction of new races of zombies - the immune and immortal. While the first season focused on humanity's survival, Season 2 will delve into the survival of the zombies themselves.
