Vinai Venkatesham, the current chief executive of Arsenal, is set to step down from his position in the summer of 2024. Having initially joined the club in 2010 as the head of global partnerships, Venkatesham has held the role of chief executive for the past three seasons.
"This decision was difficult, but the moment has come to embrace a new endeavor," he conveyed to the Arsenal club website. "Farewells can wait, as I will stay committed until my final day and facilitate a smooth transition."
In response to the announcement, Arsenal co-chair Josh Kroenke expressed, "The board wholeheartedly supports Vinai's aspirations to embark on his next challenge."
"Whilst it is business as usual with everyone focused on the season ahead, we'd like to take this moment to thank him for his contribution and long service.
