David Beckham and his now-wife Victoria Beckham crossed paths for the first time at one of his Manchester United soccer matches in 1997, immediately forming a bond.
"I have no interest in football whatsoever," Victoria humorously remarked during her husband's Beckham docuseries, released on Netflix in October 2023. "I wasn't interested in football back then, and I still have no interest now. However, I had seen photographs of him in magazines, and he was undeniably attractive. Attending the games was really just a way for me to, some might say, 'track' him down."
Victoria attended the game alongside her former bandmate from Spice Girls, Melanie Chisholm. Both of them were invited to step onto the field before the match commenced. Following the game, David took the initiative and the rest, as they say, is history.
"In all honesty, I was simply attracted to him. It was that straightforward," Victoria, who has four children with David, expressed enthusiastically in the documentary.
Amid her romance — and eventual marriage — with David, the fashion designer was frequently spotted in the stands to cheer him on.

David Beckham and now-wife Victoria Beckham first met at one of his Manchester United soccer games in 1997, instantly sparking a connection.
"I have zero interest in football," Victoria remarked in her husband's Beckham docuseries, which premiered on Netflix in October 2023. "I wasn't into football back then, and I still am not interested now. However, I had seen pictures of him in magazines, and he was undeniably attractive. Going to the games was more like a way of 'stalking' him, as some might say."
Accompanied by her former Spice Girls bandmate Melanie Chisholm, Victoria joined the game where they received an invitation to step onto the field before the match. It was after the game when David seized the opportunity, and the rest, as they say, is history.
"I was simply infatuated with him," Victoria exclaimed in the documentary, as she is the mother of four children along with David.
Throughout their love affair, which eventually led to marriage, the fashion designer could often be seen in the stands, enthusiastically cheering on David.
