Victoria Beckham gave a touch of elegance to MSCHF and Crocs' new Big Yellow Boot. The renowned 49-year-old designer and former pop star showcased the brand's latest creation in an Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 25. This follows the viral success of their controversial massive red cartoon shoes earlier this year. In the photo, Beckham effortlessly paired the footwear with a black tank top and a coordinating wrap skirt.
Beckham labeled the item and included a yellow heart emoji.
MSCHF hinted at its partnership with Crocs during Paris Fashion Week recently and promoted it once more on the brand's website with a campaign featuring Paris Hilton. In the campaign's photos, the 42-year-old Hilton enthusiastically hopped in the shoes, pairing them with a tracksuit reminiscent of the film "Kill Bill".
The boots, technically classified as sneakers, are set to be released on Wednesday, August 9th, at a cost of $450. MSCHF announced on Instagram on Sunday, July 23rd, that the shoe is essentially a yellow variation of the original Big Red Boot from Crocs, featuring perforations and a heel strap for added style.
The Big Red Boot was revealed on February 16th after receiving prior exposure through social media a few weeks earlier. The design showcases a remarkably large rounded toe and a noticeable overlap at the upper section. (The price of these shoes is set at $350.)
Several A-list celebrities, such as Diplo, Lil Wayne, Janelle Monae, and Coi Leray, sparked interest in the product when they were seen wearing the shoes at public gatherings. One notable instance was when Diplo, aged 44, sported the footwear at a New York Knicks game on February 13.
MSCHF cofounder Daniel Greenberg discussed the design of the boots, describing them as a whimsical interpretation of a shoe. According to Greenberg, the boots embody a cartoon-like representation that suggests the concept of a "BOOT" rather than faithfully depicting realistic details.
The BRB stands out from a technical standpoint due to its large size and innovative single-mold-shell design. Unlike rain boots or other low-cost boots, it is made with superior materials and manufacturing processes. Along with the oversized footwear, MSCHF offers a range of other products such as coffee table books, tote bags, and nostalgic trinkets.
