Vanessa Marcil shares that Megan Fox has apologized for her previous statement about cutting her son Kassius out of their lives during her marriage to Brian Austin Green.
After a social media user suggested that Fox never defends Marcil and played a role in the strained relationship between Kassius and his father, the General Hospital star clarified the situation.
"Actually, that's not true. Megan Fox was only 17 years old at the time and has since taken responsibility for her actions," Marcil claimed in a recent Instagram post. She criticized some women for attacking others, pointing out that Fox has apologized to both her and their child. Fox expressed disgust with her past behavior, but Marcil emphasized that it wasn't her responsibility to ensure that the child's father remained involved in their son's life.
We have reached out to Green, Fox, and Marcil for their comments.
Marcil and Green first met on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210 in the late ’90s. They dated for a few years and had a son named Kassius in March 2002. Unfortunately, they decided to go their separate ways the following year.
After their split, Green started a relationship with Fox in 2004. They even got engaged in 2006, but things didn't work out, and they called it off in 2009. However, they reconciled and got engaged again in June 2010. They eventually got married in Hawaii later that same month. Fox filed for divorce in 2020, and their divorce was finalized in February 2022. The couple has three children together: Noah, Bodhi, and Journey.
Since his split from Fox, Green has found love with Dancing With the Stars pro Sharna Burgess. They share a son named Zane, who is 2 years old. On the other hand, Fox has been in a relationship with Machine Gun Kelly since they met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass in 2020.

Marcil’s comment about Fox came more than five years after she first spoke out about her and Green’s custody battle. She alleged that the actor and Fox completely cut Kassius out of their lives and his younger brothers’ lives.
“12 years ago I was served legal papers and then spent 8+ years defending myself and my son in custody court,” she shared in a lengthy caption via Instagram in November 2018. She mentioned how his father and stepmother tried to get full custody, which would have meant she could only see her son four days a month and pay them child support.
She added that they lost the case and a civil case asking for $200,000. She chose not to speak publicly to protect her son from negative information about his father and from paparazzi that used to follow and scare him. She never asked for child support or tried to limit Kass' time with his dad.
Green did not address Marcil's custody accusations at the time. However, he responded to his ex's claims through an Instagram Story in October 2022.
He shared that his ex was accusing him of taking her to court for child support, despite being listed as the respondent in court papers. He questioned how he could be the respondent in this situation. #factsisfacts #thetruthshallsetyoufree.
The following year, the Anger Management actor expressed his frustration about his ex's lies on social media, comparing her behavior to that of a high school student. He shared a screenshot of his ex's post claiming they didn't coparent and she raised their son alone.
He mentioned how he and Fox co-parent their child from their previous marriage. He shared that they both work hard to provide a well-rounded childhood for their child, especially since his ex-wife was not always present. He speculated that this may be why she now posts so much about their child. He expressed frustration, wondering when she will move on.
