Rumor: Travis Scott and Megan Fox Set to Join Mortal Kombat 1 Roster

Rumor has it that Mortal Kombat 1 may include Megan Fox and Travis Scott as DLC characters or skins As the franchise has previously included characters from various fictional universes, this rumor seems plausible Fans of the series eagerly await confirmation

NetherRealm Studios’ highly anticipated game, Mortal Kombat 1, is rumored to add some star power to its cast with appearances from Megan Fox and Travis Scott. It wouldn't be the first time the Mortal Kombat series has incorporated characters from different fictional universes, making this rumor all the more plausible.

The recently released trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 confirmed that the game will be receiving a reboot, with the return of eight playable characters: Kitana, Kung Lao, Raiden, Liu Kang, Mileena, Shang Tsung, Sub-Zero, and Scorpion. However, according to sources, the game may also feature Hollywood actress Megan Fox and rapper Travis Scott as part of its wild list of DLC characters.

According to the Sacred Symbols podcast, Colin Moriarty recently shared some exciting news about the upcoming Mortal Kombat game. He revealed that Megan Fox and Travis Scott may potentially be included in the game. This information was reportedly given to him by the same source who had previously leaked information about Jean-Claude Van Damme's appearance in Mortal Kombat 1 before the trailer was released. However, it's important to note that this news should be taken with a grain of salt, as neither Fox nor Scott have been confirmed as playable characters. It's possible that they could simply appear as character skins, similar to Van Damme's appearance. Despite this, many fans are excited about the possibility of Fox and Scott being included in the game. Both individuals have a strong connection to the world of gaming, with Scott having previously held an in-game concert in Fortnite that attracted over 12 million concurrent players. Fox, on the other hand, is a long-time fan of the Mortal Kombat franchise and has expressed interest in playing Kitana in a future Mortal Kombat movie. This could potentially be the role that she plays in the first Mortal Kombat game.

With the introduction of the new Kameo system in Mortal Kombat 1, players are now able to call upon a partner to assist them during battles, a feature that resembles the system in Marvel vs. Capcom. The Amazon leak has confirmed around five Kameo characters, including Peacemaker, Homelander, and Omni Man, as well as a list of upcoming DLC characters. The game will also have microtransactions, allowing players to spend Dragon Crystals, which will most likely be used for purchasing character skins, although their exact purpose has yet to be confirmed. Players who pre-order the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will receive access to the beta, which is scheduled to release in August 2023. Mortal Kombat 1 will launch on September 19 for PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X.
