In the upcoming Fontaine update of Genshin Impact, players have the opportunity to obtain a complimentary four-star unit. This update will introduce numerous new characters to the game, expanding the available roster. Unlike five-star characters, four-star units have a lower pity rate, meaning that players do not need to spend a significant amount of Primogems to recruit them.
Through the 10-wish pity system, players are assured a featured four-star character within ten wishes. However, these chances are divided among three different units. In certain events, Genshin Impact offers players the chance to acquire a four-star unit at no cost by completing specific, event-exclusive objectives.
In the upcoming update 4.0 of Genshin Impact, Travelers will have the opportunity to obtain Lynette, according to a post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit. HoYoverse has officially introduced this character, and recent leaks suggest that Lynette will have a four-star rarity. Lynette's official splash art confirms that she will be an Anemo user, and it is anticipated that she will work well alongside her brother Lyney. Both characters are magicians and are featured in the recently released promo video "Overture Teaser: The Final Feast." The main storyline of 4.0 is expected to revolve around these two characters, who may have a darker side than previously thought based on the teaser.
Despite initially appearing friendly, recent rumors have revealed that Lyney is actually a cunning individual who prioritizes himself and his sister. Lynette, on the other hand, is expected to be a new four-star support character who can be included in various team compositions due to her possession of an Anemo Vision. Her Elemental Skill will have two variations, allowing her to perform an Enigma Thrust attack upon tapping the skill. This attack inflicts AoE Anemo damage and restores some of Lynette's HP.
Lynette can use the skill Shadoswing to apply an effect on nearby opponents, while holding this skill. When using her Elemental Burst, Lynette will summon a Bogglecat Box that taunts nearby enemies, similar to Mona's Phantom of Fate. Additionally, if the box is infused with Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo elements, it will deal various types of damage.
Fans have expressed their appreciation for the taunting abilities of both Lyney and Lynette, as it allows them to strategically reposition themselves. Although both characters have been confirmed for Genshin Impact version 4.0, the specific details of their banner placement have not been revealed yet.
Genshin Impact is available for PC, Mobile, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
