A Picture for the Closed Stable 2 Quest Guide (Giant Sword in Gerudo Highlands)

There is a stable located in the Gerudo Desert known as Gerudo Canyon Stable. It can be found at the coordinates -2794, -2239, 0029. In Tears of the Kingdom, players can visit this stable to register new horses, retrieve horses from the stable, and earn Pony Points that can be exchanged for rewards. However, in order to access these services, players must first complete a series of side quests involving an NPC named Piaffe.

Piaffe Packed Away

When players first arrive at the stable, they will notice several wooden boxes scattered inside. Piaffe, the stable owner, will initiate the Piaffe Packed Away side quest when spoken to. Although we have a comprehensive guide dedicated to this quest, it essentially involves clearing the crates and returning to Piaffe to mark it as completed. After finishing the quest, players will discover two empty picture frames hanging on the back wall, which serves as the starting point for the 'A Picture for the Closed Stable' quests.

A Picture for the Closed Stable 1 Quest Guide (Spectacle Rock Location)

To start the first quest in 'Picture for the Closed Stable,' interact with the frame on the right. Piaffe instructs Link to capture a photo of Spectacle Rock when it's in a 'smiling' state. In order to accomplish this, we must reach one of the sky islands located within the East Gerudo Sky Archipelago.

Head east from the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower and fast travel to an island where the Rakashog Shrine is located. The approximate coordinates of the island are -1846, -2112, 1149.

Stand on the ledge in the southwestern part of the island and equip the Camera. Directly below, there is a peculiar rock formation called the Smiling Spectacle Rock. Make sure to capture a picture of it as indicated by the red exclamation mark appearing in the camera's view.

Return to the stable and present Piaffe with the photograph of the smiling rock to successfully finish the quest. In appreciation, Link will be rewarded with a Pony Point and a delicious Chilly Mushroom Risotto.

To proceed with the second part of this questline, interact with the second frame. Piaffe has a new request, asking for a photograph of the enormous sword embedded in a peak located in the Gerudo Highlands. Fortunately, capturing this image is relatively simpler compared to exploring Tears of the Kingdom's sky.

From the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower, swiftly make your way towards the north, whether it be by launching Link into the air or scaling the cliffs. This will lead you to Gerudo Summit. Position yourself approximately at coordinates -3955, 1050, 0663, and you will be able to spot the Forgotten Sword in the northern direction. Capture a photograph of it and return it to Piaffe.

He'll reward Link with another Pony Point and Spicy Mushroom Risotto.
