Carrie Underwood is wearing her heart on her ankle, thanks to her brand-new tattoo.
On Sunday, July 2, the 40-year-old winner of American Idol, Carrie, shared via Instagram that her 74-year-old mother, Carole, had asked her and her sisters to get matching tattoos in Vegas. They all decided on a small heart design and visited Darek Riley's Nevada studio together. Carrie chose to have the tattoo on the top of her foot, while Carole, Shanna, and Stephanie opted for positions on the inside of their wrists.

In May, she took to Instagram to express her bond with her best friends by getting matching floral tattoos on a trip to Florida. Carrie recently got new tattoos following the end of her Reflection residency at Resorts World Las Vegas. She expressed her excitement and gratitude for the experience on Instagram, sharing photos from her last show and already anticipating her return in September.
Carrie embarked on the most recent part of her residency on June 21, which lasted until Saturday, July 1. The concert will make a comeback later this autumn for a span of four months.
