As these new challenges arise, the importance of weapons in tackling them cannot be overlooked, and CDPR has ensured a comprehensive arsenal. Below is a list of all the named weapons that have been confirmed to be included in the Phantom Liberty expansion and 2.0 update.
Grit
Warden
Osprey
Hercules
Rasetsu
Description: Rasetsu is a formidable, futuristic double-barrel shotgun encased in menacing barbed wire. Its sleek black and dark red color scheme enhances its intimidating appearance, while a striking decal resembling a spider-like creature with a human skull adds to its allure. Featured in the captivating Phantom Liberty Gamescom trailer, this weapon has earned a reputation as being unlawful, hinting at its extensive modifications. With its advanced technology enhancements and aggressive aesthetic, Rasetsu proves to be an excellent option for those who prefer a straightforward, fast-paced playstyle.
Grit: This compact, black and yellow submachine gun, known to be illegal, exudes an intimidating aura with its extended mag and snub barrel. Its portability and generous magazine capacity make it a highly versatile weapon, ideal for any Cyberpunk 2077 player.
Warden: With its heavy-duty build and black-and-yellow design, Warden stands out as a bulkier option among submachine guns. It boasts a bored barrel, an aftermarket battery pack, and a technologically advanced scope. Its distinctive appearance ensures that Cyberpunk 2077 players won't easily tire of this modified submachine gun, deemed illegal in the game.
Osprey: With its sleek, all-black design, the Osprey sniper rifle is a tactical weapon that appeals to stealthy players. Equipped with an advanced scope and a sizeable magazine, it is an ideal choice for those who prefer a strategic approach in taking down their enemies from a distance.
Hercules: Unveiled in the Gamescom trailer, the Hercules is an intriguing weapon. Classified as a Special-type weapon and labeled as a "prototype," it exudes an air of mystery. Its distinct appearance, coupled with burn marks on the barrel, hint at the possibility of it being either a flamethrower or a heavy machine gun.
Rasetsu is a futuristic sniper rifle that differs from the Osprey in its sleek and modern design. It features a compact shape with a discreet scope and foldable mount. Alongside Phantom Liberty's advanced cybernetics, the Rasetsu is considered to be one of the most innovative and unique high-tech additions in the DLC.
In addition to these notable firearms, the Phantom Liberty promotional material also featured several unnamed weapons. These include a katana with a laser edge reminiscent of a lightsaber, a portable chainsaw, and an explosive throwing knife. The Gamescom trailer showcased a sledgehammer, handheld taser prod, new mantis blades, and a forearm launcher - all featuring the distinctive black-and-yellow spray paint seen on the Grit and Warden models. This suggests that they may originate from the same manufacturer or dealer. These are likely just a small glimpse of the numerous new possibilities for melee, ranged, and cyberware builds in Cyberpunk 2077's combat.
