Shania Twain adores Taylor Swift and considers her part of her own family.
"I feel like I'm her aunt or something," Twain, who is 58, shared during an Instagram clip from her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. "We have a strong connection, and I truly admire and empathize with her. The challenges faced by a young artist in her position are immense, yet she navigates through it gracefully, although we're aware that it takes a substantial amount of effort. She's an incredibly dedicated and diligent worker."
Swift, 33, was recently spotted in New York City donning a T-shirt with a reference to Twain's famous track "Any Man of Mine." Twain expressed her admiration, stating, "It's quite impressive. I find it really sweet of her."
Fans started speculating about the implications of the shirt for Swift’s eagerly awaited album 1989 (Taylor’s Version), scheduled for release on October 27, and its potential association with Twain.

The singer of "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" released two versions of her 2002 album Up!, one in pop and one in country. Fans have noticed similarities between Swift's hidden clues and Twain's style. In the music video for "The Man" released in February 2020, a wall displayed all of Swift's album titles. While Fearless, Speak Now, Red, and Reputation appeared once, 1989 and Karma were written twice. This led fans to speculate that Swift would release a surprise album named Karma alongside 1989 (Taylor's Version).
In September 2021, Swift appeared to hint at a possible concept when she shared a video on TikTok. In the clip, she playfully winked at the camera while the video glitched and the popular song "Wildest Dreams" from her 1989 album played in the background. The post was accompanied by the caption: "When you plan a date in November for Red, but then someone mentions 1989."

Swift subsequently shared another post on TikTok just five days later, featuring pictures of herself and Twain, and making a reference to Twain's double album that was released in 2002. Captioning the post with "Learned from the best," accompanied by a woman tipping hand emoji.
The "All Too Well" singer has been in the media spotlight recently due to her relationship with Travis Kelce. Swift has attended three of his Kansas City Chiefs games and the couple has been seen together in public. They even made unexpected guest appearances in the season 49 premiere episode of Saturday Night Live on Saturday, October 14.
