Unveiling the Neo-Kitakami Case: A Tribute to Kitakami's Legendary Pokemon

Discover the latest Mystery Gift item for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players, and how it adds a new layer of excitement to the game.

The Epilogue and Mystery Gift Code

Following the Epilogue of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can claim a free item by entering a Mystery Gift code. This new item, the Neo Kitakami Case for the Rotom Phone, will be available to all Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players for an indefinite amount of time. This new Mystery Gift code runs in tandem with another Mystery Gift event currently available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet at the time of writing.

After claiming the Mythical Pecha Berry as a Mystery Gift, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players unlocked the Epilogue for the DLC, titled Mochi Mayhem. Following the events of both The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk, Mochi Mayhem tasked players with uncovering the mystery behind the Mythical Pokemon Pecharunt, and foiling its malicious attempt to take control of Kitakami. As the leader of the 'Loyal Three' Legendary Pokemon, Pecharunt's subjugation antics brought it into conflict with Ogerpon and its partner. This led to a battle that saw Pecharunt fall into a deep slumber after losing to Ogerpon.

However, the latest Mystery Gift item will allow Pokemon trainers to decorate their Rotom Phone as a tribute to Kitakami's Legendary Pokemon. Revealed in a video explaining the origins of Pecharunt, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players who enter the Mystery Gift code 'NE0R0T0MC0VER' will get the Neo-Kitakami Case for the Rotom Phone. According to The Pokemon Company, Mystery Gift codes do not use the letters O, I, or Z, so the numbers 0, 1, and 2 are used instead.

The Neo-Kitikami Case changes the Rotom Phone's colors to black and purple, and features a style similar to a paint-splattered drawing. It includes smaller versions of the Legendary Pokemon of Kitakami that adorn some signposts throughout the region.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers do not need to complete the DLC or its Epilogue to claim any cosmetic Mystery Gift items related to them, and the only requirement is a stable internet connection in addition to the correct item code. At the time of writing, there is no expiration date for players to claim the Neo-Kitakami Case. On social media, Pokemon fans said the new phone case expressed excitement over the black and purple colors chosen for the case. Some players pointed out that the new cover gave the Rotom Phone an appearance similar to Poison-type Pokemon, such as Pecharunt and the Loyal Three.

With plenty of Rotom Phone cases available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Neo-Kitakami Case is the latest addition to trainers' collections. Players looking to change their Rotom Phone's appearance should not wait to claim this free item.
