With Gale, they must learn how to manipulate the Weave. And with Karlach, they need to go out to eat in the city of Baldur's Gate.

On the other hand, there are characters who require less effort from the player to unlock their first sex scene. For instance, Lae'zel's sex scene can easily be unlocked by succeeding in combat and agreeing with her choices and aggressive approach, after saving the Druid Grove. Astarion is another companion who is easy to bed if players have frequently sided with him and have already learned that he is a Vampire by the time of the Druid Grove party.

The initial significant event of this nature occurs after the triumph over the Goblin Camp. At this point, Tieflings and Druids visit the player's camp to celebrate. During this gathering, players have the chance to converse with their companions, deepen their understanding of one another, and inquire about ways to grow closer.

In these dialogues, the option to invite a companion to spend the night with you can arise based on their attitude towards your character. Should they respond positively, an opportunity is presented – the next time you retire to bed (typically), extend an invitation to that companion to share your bed for the night. It is worth noting that not all romanceable characters in BG3 will feature a sexual encounter early on in the game. However, if players ultimately find themselves sleeping alone, there is still a possibility of strengthening the bond with their chosen lover in some capacity, advancing the relationship and eventually creating another opportunity.

At the Camp, during a Long Rest, players can choose either their bed or the campfire to consume resources and conclude the day. Once you have determined which supplies to use as fuel for the camp, a new dialogue option will be available to invite your partner for an intimate moment together.

When players have successfully flirted and developed a romantic connection with multiple companions, they must decide who to spend the night with. It's not possible to engage in separate sexual encounters with two companions in one night. Nonetheless, the companion who isn't chosen remains a potential option in the future, as long as the relationship is maintained and no animosity arises towards the player's other romantic interest.
