The Sumeru region in Genshin Impact introduced a diverse cast of characters, including Alhaitham, the current scribe of Sumeru Akademiya. Initially released in version update 3.4, Alhaitham is now available for early rerun alongside other Sumeru characters in version 3.7, giving players another chance to acquire him. While many players are familiar with his role as a Dendro main-DPS and his significant presence in the Sumeru story arc, there are intriguing details about his design and hidden aspects of his character that may have gone unnoticed by some.
6 Alhaitham's Name Origins
Alhaitham's name, like many other elements in the Sumeru region, bears resemblance to Islamic names. It is believed to be a direct reference to Ibn al-Haytham, a prominent academic and scientist during the Islamic Golden Era, known for his works in optics and perception. This may explain why Alhaitham's skills involve generating chisel-light mirrors that reflect light. Interestingly, Alhaitham's avid reading of Aristotle's Physics draws a subtle connection to Ibn al-Haytham's critical book on the same subject, highlighting the coincidences and connections between these intellectual figures.
5 Alhaitham Has A Lot Of Hidden Interaction Bits With Kaveh
These two characters in Genshin Impact are known to be roommates with opposite personalities, providing players with entertaining and distinct interactions. Apart from their on-screen exchanges, players can find additional interactions between them on bulletin boards across Sumeru, such as Puspa Cafe, Mahamata Bulletin Board, and Port Ormos. Additionally, both characters share the same Chinese voice actor, suggesting a deliberate connection between them.
