One such event is the Spotlight Event, which takes place every Tuesday. During this event, one particular Pokemon is given the spotlight for an hour, allowing players to catch a large number of that specific Pokemon.
Additionally, players participating in the Spotlight Event have the chance to earn extra rewards that can enhance their in-game experience. These rewards include various types of candy, XP, and Stardust, which are important currencies within the game. Candy and Stardust are used for leveling up and evolving Pokemon, as well as teaching them new moves. Below is the spotlight schedule for August.
Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour Schedule August 2023
Due to the unique placement of August on the calendar this month, players can look forward to a total of five distinct Pokemon Spotlights. These special hours will occur every Tuesday between 6 PM and 7 PM, adjusted to each player's local time. Unlike other games that adhere to their own day and night cycles, Pokemon GO is adaptable and synchronizes with the time zone of individual players. Vulpix, August 1, 6 PM - 7 PM, 2x Evolve XP
Paras, August 8, 6 PM - 7 PM, 2x Catch Stardust
Stufful, August 15, 6 PM - 7 PM, 2x Catch XP
Venonat, August 22, 6 PM - 7 PM, 2x Catch Candy
During the Tentacool Spotlight Hour on August 29th, from 6 PM to 7 PM, players can enjoy double Transfer Candy. Additionally, all the Pokemon mentioned above can also be found in their Shiny forms during this event. The increased spawn rates make it easier for players to catch these Shiny Pokemon, adding to the excitement of participating in the Spotlight Hours.
