Final Fantasy 14 has announced that Patch 6.45 will be released soon. This upcoming update, set to go live on July 18, brings new quests, a Criterion Dungeon, and an expansion to the Blue Mage job. In May, Final Fantasy 14 released Patch 6.4, titled The Dark Throne, which introduced a variety of additions to the game. These included the continuation of the main scenario quest, the conclusion of the Pandaemonium raid, and an expansion of the Duty Support system through Stormblood.
Final Fantasy 14 is preparing for the release of Patch 6.45, the next update with minor content. This patch brings a range of new activities, but one of the standout features is the expansion of the Blue Mage job. The maximum level for this job will now be increased to level 80, and players will have new quests, spells, and gear to acquire. With the release of the patch, the Blue Mage log will be updated to include new tasks and abilities from the Shadowbringers expansion.
In addition, this minor update for Final Fantasy 14 introduces Mount Rokkon, the second Variant Dungeon. This instance focuses on exploration and delves into the lore of Hingashi, the mysterious island where Kugane is located in the game. Alongside the representative of the East Aldenard Trading Company, Hancock, players can enjoy this casual dungeon. For hardcore players seeking a challenge, Mount Rokkon will also feature a savage mode called Criterion Dungeon, offering unique rewards for those who can overcome its difficulties.
Coming up next for fans of the hilarious questline is Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures, which continues the misadventures of the famous gentleman detective. In addition, players can unlock the next stage of their Manderville Relic weapons by partnering with Final Fantasy 14's Gold Saucer owner and expert goldsmith, Godbert Manderville, to craft the ultimate arms. Crafters and gatherers can also enhance their Splendorous Tools through a questline featuring Mowen, Grenoldt, and his apprentice Chora-Zoi.
The first ever Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival is just around the corner, beginning on July 28 and lasting through July 29. During this convention, players can anticipate an announcement for the next expansion, as well as the first Live Letter from the Producer for Patch 6.5, which will be the final major content update for Endwalker. Needless to say, fans of this critically-acclaimed MMORPG have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.
Final Fantasy 14 is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
