Created by Mark Millar and Peter Gross, the story revolves around a 12-year-old boy who discovers he has returned as Jesus Christ. With the ability to perform miracles and face the daunting task of guiding the world through a long-standing conflict, the boy must navigate his destined role. The Chosen One is set to premiere on August 16.

Everardo Gout and Leopoldo Gout, co-showrunners of The Chosen One, bring their expertise behind the camera. Everardo, known for directing 2021’s The Forever Purge, has also worked on popular series like Snowpiercer, The Terror, Luke Cage, and Banshee. Leopoldo, an executive producer on films like Molly’s Game, adds his creative talents to this unique premise that blends various genres.
