This approach allows players to gain two approval points from Astarion and evade the negative effect. However, if players intervene and prevent Astarion's actions beforehand, they will incur a -1 penalty to their attack rolls and ability checks for the following day.

As long as Astarion consumes blood, he will receive a beneficial +1 bonus to his attack rolls and ability checks for a duration of one day. To take advantage of this, it is recommended to rotate party members and utilize him until the next long rest.

For those who are not fond of Astarion, there is the option to exile him from the group or even eliminate him permanently. This decision holds significance for characters aligned with both good and evil, as they may be tempted to take such action. Although Astarion's background elicits sympathy, his alignment leans towards evil, which influences the things he approves of.
