Aesha, now the chief stew, teamed up with Captain Jason Chambers and the rest of the group in Australia. Prior to the first season's premiere, Captain Jason subtly suggested that he wouldn't tolerate any workplace issues from the crew members.

Throughout season 1, viewers witnessed Jamie Sayed navigating the highs and lows of his relationships with different coworkers. In a later interview, the bosun opened up about his experience working alongside Captain Jason.

"When starting any new job, it's crucial to understand the dynamics between yourself and the captain, and vice versa," Jamie shared with Decider in May 2022. "Given that we were all suddenly thrust onto the same boat, we had to quickly adapt and find a way to make it work. In addition to adjusting to one another, we had the added pressure of accommodating guests, organizing beach setups, and providing entertainment—all while ensuring the safety of everyone involved."

Formerly, the police officer expressed that he experienced "some tension" with Jason while they familiarized themselves with each other. Their shared objective remained constant, yet they had to find a way to collaborate effectively. Initially, they had slightly divergent approaches.

Former 'Below Deck Down Under' Stars: Where Are They Now?

This process took some time for Jamie and the crew, as they were all suddenly placed on a boat together and had to quickly adapt. Amidst adjusting to one another, they had to manage guests, beach setups, entertainment, and prioritize safety.

As a former police officer, Jamie admitted that there was some tension between him and Jason as they navigated their working relationship. However, they both shared the same goal and simply needed to find a way to collaborate and reach it together. It started with minor differences in their approaches, but they eventually found common ground.

Ryan McKeown

The chef was terminated in June 2022 due to his inability to satisfy both guests and his boss with his food. Ryan's departure was noteworthy as he defiantly exposed himself to the boat from the dock. Viewers of Below Deck Down Under witnessed Brittini's diligent efforts as a deck team member during season 1.
