Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute may soon make a comeback to Bravo as regulars on a new spinoff series. According to Deadline, the network is currently developing a Vanderpump Rules spinoff that will feature this trio. The show will center around a group of friends transitioning from their wild youth to parenthood and adulthood in California's San Fernando Valley. While further information remains undisclosed, the series is expected to premiere with an eight-episode season.
Taylor, who is 43 years old, was one of the original cast members when the OG Bravo series premiered in 2013. On the other hand, Cartwright, who is 34 years old, made occasional appearances on the reality show in 2015 before becoming a permanent star a year later. Despite facing numerous challenges on screen, such as a brief separation caused by Taylor's infidelity, the couple revealed their decision to leave the show in December 2020.
Taylor expressed his gratitude for the past 8 years on Vanderpump Rules, describing them as challenging, rewarding, and fulfilling. In an Instagram statement, he revealed that he and Brittany will not be returning for another season. Instead, they plan to focus on their growing family and embark on new ventures. Taylor expressed his love and appreciation for Bravo TV, Evolution USA, and their Vanderpump castmates. He also thanked the fans for their support throughout their journey. Cartwright, on the other hand, hinted that the decision to leave may not have been completely under their control, responding to curious fans who questioned the vague farewell messages.
Doute, aged 40, was dismissed from the show in June 2020 alongside Stassi Schroeder. They had called the police on Faith Stowers multiple times and filed a police report against her for a crime she did not commit. At the time, the Michigan native took to social media to express remorse for her actions.
"I now realize that my actions were not driven by racism. However, I am fully aware of how my privilege had blinded me to the reality of the black community's treatment by law enforcement, and the potential danger my actions posed to Faith," she stated on Instagram. "It was never my intention to contribute to injustice and inequality. I feel deep shame, embarrassment, and sincere regret. I commit to doing better and must hold myself accountable."

Doute made her return in the season 10 finale of Pump Rules, which aired in May. This came after her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval had an affair with Raquel Leviss, causing a lot of tension. During her appearance, Doute helped Ariana Madix, who had ended her nine-year relationship with Sandoval in March due to the cheating scandal, by encouraging positive thoughts for her future.
Taylor and Cartwright also got involved in the drama surrounding Sandoval, providing commentary for three episodes of Peacock's Watch With feature during season 10 of Pump Rules. Recently, Cartwright expressed their desire to return to reality TV after their experience recapping. She mentioned that having cameras and crew around was enjoyable and they were "definitely getting the itch" to be back on screen.
Content: Despite their plans to revive their reality TV careers with a new spinoff, Cartwright acknowledged that stepping away from the public eye had a positive impact on their marriage.
"Jax was going through a difficult phase, experiencing anxiety, and I was going through a similar situation," she disclosed. "Being constantly judged and having to revisit past events years or months later when they air can be challenging."
Carwright expressed, "In retrospect, Jax frequently acknowledges, 'I mistakenly overlooked many things in the past. I can now reflect upon my errors and use them as opportunities for personal growth.' Considering the period we took a break, particularly amidst the challenges of COVID, pregnancy, and postpartum, I am extremely grateful that I didn't have to handle these issues in front of the camera."
