Patch 1.03 for Final Fantasy 16 primarily consists of various minor updates and new features related to the game's settings. Notably, players will be pleased to find the introduction of Motion Blur options and an enhanced camera sensitivity adjustment.
In Final Fantasy 16, players accompany Clive Rosfield as he navigates a transformative path from prince to enslaved warrior, eventually becoming a renowned rebel. His journey is filled with the revelation of numerous enigmatic secrets within the realm of Valisthea, where he faces formidable Dominants, each wielding an extraordinary elemental entity.
1.03 Patch Notes
In Patch 1.03, the System menu introduces new additions that players should take note of. These include the option to adjust Motion Blur Strength, giving players the ability to control the amount of motion blur or even turn it off completely. The settings range from 0 to 5, with 5 being the default setting in all previous versions of the game.
The Player Follow (Movement) and Player Follow (Attack) options can be toggled on or off to control whether the camera will automatically track the player's movement or attacks. This customizable feature will be appreciated by players who find Motion Blur disorienting or annoying, or those who prefer to have more control over the game camera during specific actions. Additionally, modifications have been made to the following settings:
The maximum value for the Camera Sensitivity Settings on both the X and Y Axis has been raised to 20, providing users with improved control over their camera sensitivity.
Moreover, we have introduced new Controller Layouts, namely layouts D, E, and F.
In addition, the patch notes indicate the resolution of an issue that affected the stability of certain menus, as well as the correction of some text problems. Moreover, the share functionality on the PS5 now automatically tags screenshots and clips shared to Twitter or Youtube with "#FF16".
While many of the changes implemented in this patch may appear minor, the enhanced control over the user experience, particularly the option to disable Motion Blur, is highly appreciated. It was a common complaint in previous versions of the game that Motion Blur could not be turned off, causing annoyance for some players and making it difficult to capture combat sequences in screenshots. Therefore, this particular improvement is a valuable addition.
Final Fantasy 16 is available for PS5.
