Location of Sheik's Mask in Tears of the KingdomIn Tears of the Kingdom, Sheik's Mask is no longer an amiibo-exclusive item but can be obtained by everyone. This piece of armor pays homage to Sheik from Ocarina of Time and can significantly boost Link's stealth. Although Sheik does not appear in the game, players can add his mask to their collection and enjoy its benefits. Additionally, it is worth noting that the mask cannot be upgraded.
Sheik's Mask Location (Desert Coliseum)
The elusive Sheik's Mask lies buried in the unforgiving depths of the southwest Gerudo Region, concealed within the treacherous Tears of the Kingdom. Those brave enough to seek it out must navigate through two perilous chasms that lead to the infamous Desert Coliseum, where the Mask awaits. It is highly recommended that players come prepared with ample arrows and sturdy weapons to face the challenges that lie ahead.
Located in the Desert Coliseum of the Gerudo Region, the Sheik's Mask can be accessed through two chasms: the East Gerudo Chasm (-2492, -3070, -0096) and the Birida Lookout Chasm (-3693, -1827, 0002). While it is not mandatory, it is recommended to activate either the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower or the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower for an easier time navigating The Surface map. Interestingly enough, both chasms are situated in close proximity to their respective towers, with the East Gerudo Chasm near the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower and the Birida Lookout Chasm near the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower.
To reach the Depths, players must make their way to a specific coordinate set at -4158, -3826, -0478, which is located in close proximity to the Kasari Lightroot. If players begin their journey from the Birida Lookout Canyon, they should travel towards the south direction where they will come across a series of Lightroots, eventually leading them to their destination.
Instead of heading towards Rasinaduk and Gonatoyros Lightroots located at (-4168, 2412, -0487) and (-3846, -2945, -0487) respectively, players starting from the East Gerudo Chasm should head west towards the Kasari Lightroot. This will lead them to their destination.
Travelers departing from the East Gerudo Chasm must exercise caution when passing through the Gerudo Underground Cemetery. The area is infested with gloom-Moth Gibdos and gloom-Gibdos, making it difficult to navigate. It's best to avoid them altogether by taking a detour around the cemetery. Additionally, travelers should stay alert for Frox lurking between the Amakawais and Gataharak Lightroots.
Desert Coliseum Monsters
To conquer the Desert Coliseum, Link must overcome five waves of enemies, a task players who have already received Majora's Mask or Midna's Mask will be familiar with. However, gliding in from the top is not an option as the coliseum is buried. Instead, players must circle around to the coordinates -1344, -3711, -0480. The coliseum is home to a horde of Horriblins, making it essential for players to have bows and Keese Eyeballs in their inventory. For those looking to conserve Monster Materials, long-ranged weapons or regular arrows can also be used. Attaching a Keese Eyeball to an arrow will guide the shot towards an enemy, resulting in a critical/headshot.
Try to do the Desert Coliseum after obtaining some of the Sages. Riju's Lightning Ability can come in handy when facing off against the Horriblins.
Wave 1
Strategy for defeating the Horriblins is relatively simple. A skilled archer can easily take them out with a single shot to the head. It's not necessary to waste valuable materials like Keese Eyeballs or heat-seeking materials on these weak enemies. Save those resources for tougher battles ahead.
Wave 2
Strategy for defeating the three Blue Horriblins is to focus on their high HP and use the same tactics as regular Horriblins. It's advisable not to use Keese Eyeballs during this wave.
Wave 3
Black Horriblins are formidable enemies due to their high HP and powerful weapons. To take them down, players should aim for knocking them off the ceiling with arrows. It's recommended to fuse Keese Eyeballs beforehand if possible. To avoid losing too much HP, players should aim to take on one at a time.
Wave 4
Strategy: Dealing with a Silver Horriblin can be challenging due to its tankiness and powerful weapon. To overcome this, aim for its head while it's on the ceiling and rush in to attack when it falls. Use a strong weapon to deal significant damage and grab its weapon if it drops it. When it jumps back on the ceiling, keep a distance and use arrows to chip away at its health. Remember to stay alert and dodge its attacks.
Wave 5
To defeat this round's enemies - Horriblin, Blue Horriblin, Black Horriblin, and Silver Horriblin - players should focus on taking out the Horriblin and Blue Horriblin first using Keese Eyeballs if needed. The Black Horriblin can then be targeted next, and it's advisable to stun both the Black and Silver Horriblin so they fall from the ceiling, making it easier to attack and defeat them. Failing to stun one of the Horriblins could result in Link being attacked while trying to defeat the other. Once all enemies are defeated, players can loot the treasure chest to obtain Sheik's Mask before leaving through the now-open entrance to the coliseum.
