Niantic is currently testing a major improvement for Pokemon GO raids, which aims to make the process faster and easier for players. This change comes as a part of Niantic's continuous efforts to enhance the game and introduce new features.
Niantic Support Twitter account recently announced that it is testing a "Ready to Raid" button for Pokemon GO's raids. This button would enable players to bypass the usual lengthy countdown before Raids, reducing the timer to just 10 seconds for a quicker raiding experience. The initial rollout of this feature is being conducted in London, Osaka City, and Suita City, with a potential global release in the future. Niantic has also confirmed that the test includes Pokemon GO's Remote Raids in these areas. The introduction of a "ready up" system in Pokemon GO aims to address the frustrations associated with starting Raids. Presently, the game requires a standard 110-second countdown prior to beginning a Raid battle, with no option to skip or shorten the waiting period. Fans have expressed their desire for ways to expedite this downtime, along with other suggestions such as deleting Eggs and sending gifts in bulk. However, Niantic has not confirmed whether the ready system will be implemented worldwide after the testing phase.
Pokemon GO is planning to introduce new Raid Pokemon in the upcoming future, coinciding with the changes in the raid system. Mega Tyranitar has already been mentioned, and Niantic has also confirmed that the mythical Pokemon Diancie will make its debut during Pokemon GO Fest 2023. This will be the first time that multiple Mythical Pokemon are introduced during the event, and Diancie will also receive its Mega Evolution upon its release. Additionally, the introduction of a ready button in the game will make it more convenient for players to participate in Raid battles. Pokemon GO can be downloaded on mobile devices.
