New information has emerged from unofficial sources regarding the Elemental Skill and Burst of an upcoming character in Genshin Impact named Lynette. The game's social media accounts have made an official announcement about her, indicating that players can anticipate her arrival in update 4.0.
Furthermore, update 4.0 will bring the highly anticipated Fontaine nation, a subject of speculation for the past few months. In their latest promotional videos, it has been revealed that Lynette and her brother Lyney will take center stage as the two new characters in this update.
In the recently released video titled Overture Teaser: The Final Feast, a number of new characters set to join the roster of playable characters have been revealed. Among them is Lynette, a four-star character who takes front and center in the promotional video, and is confirmed to be collaborating with her brother, Lyney. Lynette, described as a versatile magic assistant, is an Anemo user, in contrast to her brother's Pyro Vision. Known leaker, merlin_impact, has provided further details about Lynette's abilities, including her Elemental Skill, Burst, and Talents. The leak suggests that Lynette's Elemental Skill, called Enigmatic Feint, can be executed by tapping or holding the skill. Tapping will trigger an attack known as Enigma Thrust, dealing Anemo damage while restoring a portion of Lynette's HP. Holding the skill, on the other hand, will immerse this Anemo user in a Pilfering Shadow state, inflicting Shadowswing on a nearby enemy. Upon leaving this state, Lynette will unleash an Enigma Thrust attack. If an enemy is affected by the Shadowswing effect, she will dash towards them before executing the Enigma Thrust. The fandom eagerly anticipates the strong bond between Lynette and her brother Lyney, hoping that their connection will result in excellent synergy.
Lynette's Elemental Burst causes her mantle to rise, dealing AoE Anemo damage and summoning a colossal Bogglecat Box. This box not only taunts nearby enemies, but also inflicts additional Anemo damage. When the box comes into contact with Hydro, Cryo, Electro, or Pyro, it unleashes enhanced elemental damage through Vivid Shots. However, it's worth noting that the Bogglecat Box can only be infused with one element per cast.
Recent leaks have uncovered a darker side to Lyney, who initially appears friendly and cheerful. It seems he prioritizes himself and his sister, and this is expected to be a major focus in the upcoming Genshin Impact update 4.0. The conclusion of the Final Feast teaser suggested that Lyney may be collaborating with Arlecchino, who is believed to be the primary antagonist in Fontaine.
Genshin Impact is available for PC, Mobile, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
