Although Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 provided excitement and predictable content upon its release in early June, numerous leaks had already revealed what gamers could expect from this season's renewal. The leaks informed players that they would have the opportunity to explore a jungle, ride raptors, and utilize camouflage in mud.

However, as time went on, gamers became aware that the end of Chapter 4 Season 3 was fast approaching, yet they remained in the dark about the forthcoming Season 4. Very few leaks surfaced, and the most reliable information came from noted changes to The Apparatus landmark following the previous season's update. A machine materialized at The Apparatus and projected a pink beam into the sky, with fans eventually discovering that Doctor Slone was responsible for this action, as she sought to analyze the stars for guidance.
