The latest collaboration between Fortnite and Marvel is in celebration of the release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The event kicked off with the introduction of Spider-Gwen as a new non-playable character on the game's battle royale map. Following that, the Web Battles event took place, and now the Spider-verse has taken over all Week 11 quests.
Fortnite players can once again wield the iconic Spider-Man Web-Shooters, which have been redesigned and renamed as Spider-Verse Web-Shooters. Though they function the same as before, these Web-Shooters are not only useful for in-game mobility, but also necessary for completing many of the Week 11 quests.
How to Get the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters
The Spider-Verse Web-Shooters have made a comeback in Fortnite and are now an essential item for players looking for increased mobility. However, with this addition, Epic Games had to reduce the availability of ODM Gear spawns.
To obtain the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters, players can either find them as floor loot or purchase them from Spider-Gwen at Slappy Shores for 600 gold bars. While the price may seem steep, players who have been saving their gold throughout the season should have no trouble getting their hands on this valuable item.
How to Use the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters
To traverse the city, players must equip the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters and aim them in the desired direction. When a white circle appears on a surface, the Web-Shooters will attach to it, enabling the user to swing through the city with ease.
Similar to the ODM Gear, the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters have a limited amount of uses before their energy is depleted. The maximum number of uses for the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters is 80.
The Spider-Verse Web-Shooters come with a cooldown feature that activates as soon as players stop swinging continuously. During the cooldown period, players will be unable to use the web-shooters for a few seconds.
Players must keep in mind that the number of times they swing continuously affects the cooldown duration. For example, if they use one charge, they will have to wait for four seconds to use the web-shooters again. If they swing twice, the cooldown period will extend to eight seconds.
Moreover, if players use the web-shooters thrice in a row, they will have to wait for 12 seconds before they can use them again. The cooldown period will always be 16 seconds long once players have used the web-shooters four times, irrespective of the number of continuous swings after that.
