Say Goodbye to Fortnite's Kinetic Blade: Removed from All Modes!

Fortnite players disappointed as Kinetic Blade has been removed from all game modes No information on whether it will return

The popular Kinetic Blade, a katana in Fortnite, has been removed from the game and will not be making a return in Chapter 4 Season 2. Upon the release of the latest season, players were thrilled with the new Japanese-inspired cyberpunk POIs that were added to the game, which gave the map a futuristic feel. The Kinetic Blade was a sought-after item that added to this vibe, serving as both a melee weapon and a mobility tool. Using Kinetic Ore, players could dash and quickly move around the map, as well as knock back enemies and deal significant damage. Its versatility was similar to Chapter 4 Season 1's Shockwave Hammer, but with better balance and fewer bugs - until now.

The Kinetic Blade has been removed from all game modes in Fortnite's battle royale. Speculation suggests that this removal may be related to an exploit that was recently discovered by members of the Fortnite community. This particular exploit allowed gamers to easily eliminate their opponents with the Kinetic Blade by turning off their Wi-Fi, attacking their enemy, and then turning Wi-Fi back on. Although it may seem like a lot of work, this exploit gave players the ability to take down enemies from any range without any risk. As a result, many players who were victims of this exploit reported it, leading Epic Games to take action by banning players and removing the Kinetic Blade from Fortnite's tournaments. Even though players could take advantage of this exploit in any game mode, it was a bit strange that Epic Games did not remove the blade from other game modes right away.

The Kinetic Blade will remain vaulted until the end of Chapter 4 Season 2, as confirmed by the official Fortnite Status account. However, players can now utilize the Spider-Man Web-Shooters for added mobility options alongside the Rogue Bikes, Nitro Drifter, and ODM Gear. Acquiring the Kinetic Blade was crucial for completing many season quests, but fortunately, any quests that previously required it have been replaced or autocompleted. This ensures that players who were unable to obtain the Kinetic Blade in time can still collect their XP and level up their Battle Pass. Fortnite is available on a variety of platforms including Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
