Unveiling Exclusive Gameplay Animations of Lyney in Genshin Impact Leak

Recently, a leak in Genshin Impact has provided insight into the in-game animations of the highly anticipated five-star character known as Lyney. This character has received official acknowledgment from the game's social media accounts, indicating that his release is confirmed for the upcoming update 4.0, alongside the introduction of the Fontaine region.

In preparation for every new update, Genshin Impact offers a beta version that showcases a majority of the forthcoming content, including new regions, characters, and weapons. Recent leaks from the beta have hinted at the grand scale of update 4.0, suggesting that it will be one of the game's most substantial updates to date.

A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit showcases the in-game animations of an upcoming five-star character named Lyney. As previously revealed in his official splash art, Lyney will be a new Pyro user and recent leaks have confirmed the speculation that he will also be a bow user. Fans are ecstatic that HoYoverse has incorporated Lyney's affinity for magic into his abilities. One notable example is his Normal Attack sequence, where he summons a card before unleashing his final shot. However, players have expressed concerns that HoYoverse tends to prioritize impressive Normal Attack animations for characters whose abilities do not rely heavily on this attack type.

Earlier leaks of Genshin Impact have unveiled that Lyney is a DPS character with a unique playstyle that revolves around utilizing Charged Attacks. Lyney's Charged Attack can unleash two different levels of power depending on the charging time. The first level fires a regular charged arrow that inflicts elemental damage upon the target. On the other hand, the second level causes Lyney to conjure a Grin-Malkin Hat upon striking an opponent. This hat taunts nearby enemies, diverting their attention and providing Lyney with an opportunity to reposition himself.

When the hat detonates, it inflicts Pyro damage on a single nearby enemy. Additionally, Lyney's Level 2 Charged Attack will cause him to sacrifice some of his HP in exchange for one Prop Surplus stack. A video demonstrates that Lyney's Elemental Skill triggers an immediate explosion that eliminates all Prop Surplus stacks, resulting in significant AoE damage that scales with the number of stacks and his ATK.

As a result, playing as Lyney may involve utilizing his Charged Attack to accumulate multiple Prop Surplus stacks before employing his Elemental Skill. Numerous fans in the comment section assert that Lyney possesses one of the most impressive burst animations in Genshin Impact, during which he transforms into a Grin-Malkin Cat that bounces around and inflicts AoE Pyro damage.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
