Andy Cohen, a gay man, became a father to two children named Ben and Lucy in 2019 and 2022, respectively. Expressing his astonishment at the possibility of having a family as a gay man, Cohen shared with his close friend Anderson Cooper on New Year's Eve in December 2018 that he had never thought it would be achievable. However, he expressed deep gratitude towards the surrogate he was collaborating with and emphasized the potential for anything to be possible in the year 2018, nearing 2019.
In February 2019, Ben was born weeks later.
Although the Emmy winner had expressed his desire to have a larger family as Ben grew older, he kept the news of expecting a daughter a secret until Lucy arrived in late April 2022.

Andy Cohen is a proud father of two, welcoming Ben and Lucy in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
"When I was younger, and as we were growing up, I never imagined that it would be feasible for me, as a gay man, to have a family," Cohen shared with his close friend Anderson Cooper on New Year's Eve in December 2018. "But now, here we are in the year 2018, nearly stepping into '19, and anything is achievable. I feel immense gratitude towards the amazing surrogate I am fortunate to be collaborating with."
A few weeks later, in February 2019, Ben came into the world.
The Emmy winner had previously mentioned his desire to grow his family as Ben got older, but he kept the news of expecting a daughter a secret until Lucy's arrival in late April 2022.
"Introducing my daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen! She weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces and was born at 5:13 pm in New York City!!" he shared on Instagram. "Her older brother is eagerly looking forward to meeting her! I would like to express my gratitude to my amazing surrogate (all surrogates are amazing, by the way) and everyone who played a part in making this incredible miracle happen. I am beyond thrilled."
