Becca Serrano ABC/Ricky Middlesworth
What led to Becca Serrano's unexpected departure from the beach, just as her relationship with Brayden Bowers was starting to grow? Fellow Bachelor in Paradise contestants were clearly puzzled when the 26-year-old mysteriously vanished during the episode airing on Thursday, November 9.
"Is Becca absent?" inquired host Jesse Palmer during the rose ceremony. Once Becca was located, she confessed to having doubts about her connection with Brayden, 25.
"I believe there were numerous uncertainties regarding my relationship with Brayden, and I am considering them seriously," she admitted. "I desire to determine the authenticity of our bond, but I am apprehensive...what if it isn't?"
Becca made her debut on Bachelor Nation during season 27 of Zach Shallcross' season but was eliminated in the first rose ceremony. She later returned for season 9 of BiP and quickly formed a connection with Brayden, who originally appeared on Charity Lawson's season 20 of The Bachelorette.
During the November 2 episode, Becca's arrival in Mexico caused a hurdle in Brayden's relationship with Rachel Recchia. After going on a date with Becca, Brayden started to distance himself from Rachel. Although Brayden was confident in giving his rose to Becca, she was uncertain about their future together.
When given the choice between attending Thursday's rose ceremony or returning home, Becca opted to self-eliminate. She has not provided any additional rationale for her decision to leave the beach.
Jesse, 45, informed the cast that he had located Becca and had a conversation with her. However, she was uncertain about participating in the rose ceremony. Regrettably, she ultimately made the decision to depart Paradise for good.
Brayden was left unsure of how to handle his rose, which ultimately ended up in the possession of Olivia Lewis.
Prior to distributing the roses, Rachel, aged 27, expressed in a private confession that Brayden had betrayed her, so she had no expectation of receiving a rose from him.
"I always seem to get dumped whenever I wear a black dress, and there's nothing I can do about it. When I wear this dress, I try not to overthink it, but somehow it always turns out fine," she stated. "That's why I feel comfortable wearing the black dress again for the upcoming rose ceremony."
Of course, Rachel was referring to the black dress she had on when she was eliminated on Clayton Echard's season 26 of The Bachelor in 2022.
Tanner Courtad, who appeared on Charity's season, eagerly gave his rose to Rachel, expressing his enthusiasm to further delve into their connection.
