To initiate the Haus DLC and delve into the peculiar world of the post-apocalyptic murder cult, you need to be aware of the proper method. Unfortunately, the game doesn't provide clear instructions. Here's what you should do.

Dead Island 2 - How to start Haus DLC

First and foremost, make sure you have already obtained the Gold Edition of the game, the expansion pass, or specifically the Haus DLC. Assuming you're reading this, it is likely that you have already made the necessary purchase. However, it's worth mentioning as a reminder, since the Haus DLC is not a free update.

Please make sure you have installed the latest patch to unlock the DLC for gameplay. If your game version is 1.4.110.3923, you already have the latest update installed. If not, please install it before starting the game.

To begin the DLC, you will be transported to a new area within the Bel-Air region. Specifically, you will start in Emma Jaunt's mansion. Get into character and dress up as the Fresh Prince before returning home to Bel-Air. On your map, look for an orange icon near Emma's tennis court. Head towards it and you will find an invitation on a table, as shown below.

You're invited (to a cult)! The Haus DLC centers around a lavish death cult, so don't let the elegant facade deceive you. It maintains the same level of gore and grotesqueness as the base game. Once you've interacted with the corresponding icon, you'll embark on the immersive journey of the Haus DLC.

Dead Island 2 Haus DLC not showing up

In the event that you've followed all the necessary steps and still cannot locate the orange icon in Bel-Air, it is worth noting that there seems to be a bug preventing certain Haus DLC owners from accessing this initial mission.
